MISSION STATEMENT
Collaborating with and advocating for clients to find intelligent, elegant and appropriate design solutions.
Peter Lofgren brings insights as a consulting architect to assist owners and clients find the best path forward as projects transition from an initial vision to a distinct reality. His years of professional practice have given him the skills to help clients and owners navigate the design process from visioning, bench-marking, programming, on through design, permitting and construction. Either as a consultant or when providing full design services, he works as an advocate for owners and clients providing critical professional evaluation of the design process as projects are developed.
Design
Attributes of good design should have a sense of permanence utilizing real materials and well considered details. Buildings should be durable and age with grace. Spaces should be well conceived, proportioned and suited to their purpose.
Process
The design process must be inclusive and embrace curiosity and flexibility. Asking many questions and collaborating with all of the stakeholders is essential to successful outcomes.
Advocating for Clients
Peter works as an advocate for owners and clients providing critical professional evaluation of the design process as projects are conceptualized, programmed, planned, designed, developed and constructed. With proper vetting of the project’s overall design parameters, development goals and long term operational performance and operating costs it is possible to generate a more efficient design and construction process that results in more predictable and cost effective outcomes. Balancing project schedule, cost and quality are all critical aspects of project design and delivery.
